I hate that too. Seriously...some movie actually do need sequels...since if it's after a book series...but there are movies that definitely do not need sequels. There are a couple in particular that I was thinking of, but I can't seem to remember what they are called at the moment. The Saw franchise is definitely one of them, as well as Scream. Then there is Friday the 13th, Leprechaun, Chucky....I know all of these examples are for horror movies and thrillers, but...they are prime examples.

Oh my goddess yes, horror movies are the main culprits for unwanted spawns. I find that every year there is a worse one that comes out, and this year has just started and they just had to start the year off with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre in 3D...... BLOODY HELL PEOPLE NOT EVERYTHING IS BETTER IN F@#KING 3D!

It's gotten to the point where I'm like....fudge them. The classics. That's where it's at. American Psycho! That was a brilliant movie. If I'm brutally honest, 3D sucks. It hurts your eyes like there's no tomorrow, and it's useless. Something else that pisses me off are remakes. Like..really? Footloose...the remake changed the story so much. Dirty Dancing has a sequel, and I was like....really? Why? It doesn't need a sequel...like fudge.
By the way, Starz, I know this is going way off topic, but I've noticed that you say 'oh my goddess' a lot. Are you by any chance Pagan or Wiccan?

Not really, but I have read a few things about being Wiccan and I think it's quite interesting. I've always grown up with the notion that there is a god and goddess, thanks to my mom who is Wiccan. I think saying 'oh my god' is a little over rated, plus 'oh my goddess' sounds a little better.
Another sad sequel was Grease, loved the original and then I just had to see the second one. Big mistake. Now they've made the remake of Carrie *le sigh* there goes another classic, Carrie 2 was a bad investment as well.

I myself am Pagan, but once I have a proper income, I hope to become a practicing Wiccan.
I actually liked the sequel to Carrie, and Grease, though the originals were by far the best. I hate that they're remaking Carrie. There was no need for it.

That's great, it seems like a very spiritual thing.
There really is no need for so many remakes, plus I was a little let down with the newest Nightmare on Elm Street. As a kid that freaked me the hell out, but the new one was just like making Freddy out to be some pedo with a chip on his shoulder... Well he kinda is but you know what I mean lol.

I didn't even know they made another Freddy movie. That's just over doing it. I was disappointed that they had so many of Freddy and Jason, and then they made Freddy vs. Jason, which was good. Everything in between though...it's just ridiculous.

Excuse me there was another Freddy movie made? Hell I must have been under a damn rock, that is just over kill. I'm sorry to disagree but Freddy vs Jason was terrible, I'm tired of the generic characters in horror movies. For once have maybe the nerd die and have the jock live?

Actually, in Freddy vs. Jason, the nerd did die. It was almost at the end...but he did die. And it's alright if you disagree...you have the right to.

I see where you all are coming from, but in Freddy Vs. Jason the nerd die BUT the jock didn't live either. Or they should just stop having the generic characters, try something new I guess make horror movies with a little less sex, drugs, wild shenanigans and a little more plot is a thought.
