Flames licked at anything that was exposed, family pictures melted and furniture burned while a small family slumbered on the top floor. No one realized their humble abode would probably become their final resting place, but before anyone knew what was happening the floor underneath their beds sending them spiraling into the fiery pit bellow.
Shaking his head a little boy looked around the burning family room, searching for his parents in the burning wreckage. Seeing her the boy started to crawl to her, but was stopped when a burning piece of wood fell on him making cry out from the pressure and the flames. He watched a his mother turned her head to look at him, but looked helpless as her burning dresser fell on her.
Bolting up in the bed Zane was breathing loudly, not having to look down at his hands he knew they were violently shaking. Once he was able to slow down his breathing fell back down on his sweat soaked pillow, and decided to stay there until it was time for him to go underground. "Sh*t these dreams better not start coming again." Was the last thing he thought before drifting into a short nap.

TIME SKIP
The sun had been gone from the sky for almost three hours. Both her mother and father should have been sound asleep in their king sized bed by now. As quietly as she could, Alice got ready to head out for the night, eager to make it to the Underground before Flame.
She climbed out her window, and down the tree...managing it without any incident. Quietly, she jogged towards the street, and a little ways down. The bus would be arriving shortly, and then it would be smooth sailing, all the way to the other side of the city.
When she finally made it to the rougher side of the city, Alice had a little more confidence in herself. After the night before, and the comment Flame had made...it still irked her. The nerve of some people. Weak. Bah! She wasn't weak, and she'd show him.
She walked several blocks from the bus terminal, passing the building she'd seen Flame go into after he had helped her out. Glaring at the building made Alice hurry even more. If she could make it to the Underground before Flame, things would work out.
The place was crowded, as usual. Perfect for what she had in mind. Perhaps a little humility might knock him off his pedestal, even for one night. She fought her way through the throng of people, and found the person she wanted to talk to. It was getting harder and harder to find people to fight Flame, is reputation scaring off any potential combatants.
"Who will take the chance, and get in the ring with Flame?" The man looked around, though everyone seemed eager to see the fight, no one wanted to be in it. Pushing her way to the front, Alice shouted above the noise. "I'd like to." All at once, everyone's eyes were on her. Some laughed, and others simply backed away from her.
"Girly, you wouldn't last two minutes in there with him. Why don't you let one of the men go in." Now it was Alice's turn to laugh. "You mean the men that are lined up here to take the chance? I don't see anyone else willing to go toe to toe with the champion." Alice had a point. Those 'men' that she should have given the chance, were now silent. "I've got fifteen hundred, winner takes the money." She produced a decent sized wade of cash.
The man in front of her looked as if he were fighting with himself. Eventually, he took the money from her hand and led her to a less crowded place. She took off her jacket, revealing a black mid-drift top. A white rabbit could be seen on her right hip. "What do I call you, when the fight is about to start?" She was about to give her name, but thought better of it. "Rabbit."

Zane had decided on staying in that night, but then he got a call saying that someone had challenged him. Curious as to who had the balls to challenge him, made him get out of bed and head down to the arena. Taking the usual elevator he could smell the sweat, alcohol and the tobacco linger in the air.
Placing his hood over his head he walked over to the fight announcer, who told him to wait in the ring for his opponent. No one told him what the guy looked like or who he was, but that didn't matter who ever it was Zane knew he would beat the person to a bloody pulp.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! Patrons of the arena! We have an exciting engagement for you this evening." The announcer spoke clearly, causing the surrounding crowd to cheer loudly. "Tonight, we have an interesting challenger for Flame." The crowd hushed, whispering among themselves. The announcer gave Flame a look, one that would suggest that he'd get a kick out of his opponent. "Fighting for the first time, RABBIT!"
This was Alice's cue to climb into the ring. She glared at Flame, ignoring the gasps and boos that were called out. The announcer continued. "It would seem, just by looking at this wild child, that she has something to prove." Alice tied her hair back into a pony tail, keeping it out of her eyes.

Casting a side ways glance at the girl, Zane remembered her from the night before. Rolling his eyes he took off his jacket and threw it over the cage fence. He wasn't the type to hit a girl but if circumstances called for it then so be it, and right now circumstances called for it. Getting into a fighting stance he shook out his hands before placing them up near the sides of his face, he took in her appearance the she stands and both estimated her height and weight. He wouldn't loose. He couldn't loose, not because she was a girl but because he worked to hard to get so far.

Noticing that he was no in a fighting stance, Alice got into her own stance. She wasn't used to the size of the crowd, this fight would definitely have quite an interesting turn out if either of them won. "I hope you don't mind hitting a girl," she brought her hands up close to her face, "otherwise, this fight is going to end pretty quick."
Alice took a small step to the right, not yet ready to begin the fight. She needed to find out a little more about his methods. It was different watching from the sidelines. At least she had one thing in her corner. Alice was known for her speed and agility. She was on the track team at school, and the gymnastics team as well. She hoped Flame was ready for what she had to bring.

Fighting men was easy for him because he could predict their movements, but for a female fighter they were a little more agile. He had a feeling this chick had a chip on her shoulder from the other night, not caring much Zane made a few quick jabs to test her speed and reaction time.

Alice wasn't ready for the quick jabs Zane thrust at her. Her first instincts were to dodge, but there wasn't exactly anywhere to go. Instead of dodging to the side, like she'd seen most of his other opponents do, she leaned back. Her hands were now on the ground, her body bent in an arch shape. Immediately, as if she were on the balance beam, her legs began to rise into the air as she continued into a flip. Her left foot missed Flame all together, however, her right foot clipped his jaw. Now standing up straight once more, her hands were back up near her face. She heaved a sigh as she got back into a fighting stance.

Rubbing his jaw Zane exactly knew all he needed to know about this chick, changing up his stance he began to bob up and down on his toes. Zane knew he had to keep switching things up with her or else she would be able to follow his moves, not wanting to waste anymore time he dashed towards her and faked punching her left. Then used his right hand to punch her in the side of her ribs, even though he was planing on taking this fight seriously he would rather fight someone else instead of a school who wanted to play fighter.

Alice went to block the punch to her left, but the movement was useless, as his right fist connected with her ribs. The wind was knocked out of her briefly, a sharp pain radiating from the impact point of his fist. After taking a moment to recover, Alice seemed to go into a frenzy. She came at Zane with a flurry of punches, all of which missed, a deliberate move on her part. The blizzard of punches, she hoped, would distract Zane, In the midst of her non-lethal attack, she swept her leg behind his, knocking them out from under him.
