Demetrius stood with a bored expression on his face. Since he had not been able to speak with his father about the matter, his plan was to out right refuse to marry the Princess. In fact, he hoped she was as ugly as a troll, so that he might refuse without making to much of a scene. Though his stance was precise and straight, Demetrius glanced down at his father from the corner of his eye. King Reginald sat with an air of royalty. He was the epitome of what a King should look like. His reddish-blonde beard trimmed neatly, his hair combed back, and his crown sitting perfectly on his head. Demetrius remember the time he'd tried the crown on. He was only six years old, and the damn thing had fallen over his eyes. His father had laughed and fixed the crown to sit almost as properly as when it was on his own head. That was back when the King had a sense of humor. Now, he was as serious as a heart attack.

Upon entering the throne room Vivienne immediately noticed the queen and her three daughters, smiling softly it brought back memories of when she and her older sisters sat beside their mother. Next she noticed the king from which she could tell was a very regal and no nonsense man, she already could feel herself becoming withdrawn because of that. Finally he eyes landed on the prince of whom she was to marry, stopping in her tracks she stood rooted to her spot because in her entire life she had never seen someone as beautiful as him. Becoming self conscious Vivienne patted down any ruffles she noticed, Ewen noticed how speechless Vivienne had become which made him a little mad. Hiding his emotions Ewen smiled gracefully at the royal family and then bowed, "your majesty's I would like to present to you princess Vivienne Claudell of the Meridian Kingdom."

To say he was surprised would be an understatement. The Princess and her adviser walked into the throne room, and immediately his eyes were glued to her. Demetrius watched her every movement, from the way she observed each of his family members and then himself, to the way she flatted any ruffles in her dress. His eyes were glued, except for the one instance where they shifted to the adviser. Demetrius had noticed the hurt and angry look on the man's face as he, himself, noticed the Princess' actions. Demetrius even noted the way the man hid his emotions before making the introduction.
King Reginald now stood, his regal stance remaining, even as he rose from the throne. "Welcome," his voice boomed, even in the silence of the throne room, "to Azalea!" Now the King strode towards the Princess, his hand outstretched for hers. "My dear, it is under unfortunate circumstances that you have come to visit, but I hope you come to find this land as much a home as Meridian."

Lillica had finished combing her hair into a tight bun, when her room door opened as several maids walked in chatting about the visitors. "Did you see the Princess of the Meridian Kingdom? She is beautiful she will definitely be the one for Prince Demetrius, they will make a lovely King and Queen." All eyes were on Lillica when the loud clatter of make up bottles crashed to the floor, averting her eyes she quickly and quietly cleaned up the mess while tuning out the comments of her actions.
Arranging everything back into place Lillica sat staring at her reflection, "I take it that's the reason why I was requested for the afternoon and evening, for the start of the wedding party how wonderful." She thought bitterly staring at her reflection, Lillica was not an ugly woman by far she was one of the prettier servants that worked in the castle. Yet she was still self conscious while her make up was off, it perplexed her because without her make up many people did not recognized her. If you had to compare her to royalty, then she was would be consider average or even ugly. Once she finished putting on her make up she rose from her seat and made her way down to the dining hall, her scarlet eyes scanned the busy corridor as people scrambled to set up lunch.
It was rare for her to do a lunch performance but who was she to complain, as long as she got to get out of doing anything else she was fine with it. Lillica wasn't in the mood to do anything else at the moment, so creating entertainment for the royals was her best option.

Finally taking her eyes off of the prince, Vivienne smiled and curtsied when the king addressed her. "Sadly yes your highness, but I am very happy to have traveled to a beautiful kingdom." Spoke Vivienne softly, "I'm just glad that you have offered to help Meridian. It means a lot to me thank you very much," she spoke again as she curtsied for the second time.

"Tish, tosh. It's my pleasure to help our neighboring kingdom. Besides, in doing so, I finally gain a daughter-in-law." King Reginald gave the princess a smile, and then gestured to Demetrius. With his arm extended to the younger royal, he introduced his son. "Let me introduce my son, and heir to my throne, Prince Demetrius." This was Demetrius' cue to step forward. Plastering a smile on his face, Demetrius walked to his father's side, taking the princess' hand in his, and gently kissing the top of it. "A pleasure."

Becoming rigid Vivienne blushed a light shade of red as the prince kissed her hand, she noted that his lips were very soft. "The pleasure is all my mine," she softly said as she never took her eyes off of him. Placing her hand back by her side she smiled and looked back at Ewen, she could tell he wasn't all that comfortable with her receiving the kiss but she was doing it for the future of their kingdom.

With introductions over, Demetrius took his spot back up next to the King's throne. King Reginald, however, stayed were he was. He raised his hands into the air, and exclaimed rather loudly, "Let us have some entertainment!" A chair was brought in for the princess, and placed beside the throne, replacing Demetrius. The prince, not caring that he'd been pushed out of the way, went to stand over behind his mother.
"Smile, dear. It's not the end of the world." She whispered, though she doubted her husband could hear. The King was to preoccupied with speaking to the princess. The triplets smiled up at their brother. Their smiles were soon replaced with scowls, however, when their tutor came to collect them. "It's time for your studies, your majesties." They groaned, but let with out much fuss. Their three stools were soon replaced by a chair for Demetrius, who sat next to his mother with great pleasure.
King Reginald took the princess' hand gently, and led her towards the seat next to his throne. "How was your trip? Not to long I hope."

Taking the seat next to the king Vivienne shook her head, "it wasn't as long as I thought it would be. Thank fully I had Ewen as company or else I'm afraid I would have died of sheer boredom." She smiled while keeping her full attention on the king, but kept the question of what kind of entertainment he had planned.

Taking a small breath and saying a little prayer, Lillica burst through the doors dramatically with a great big smile on her face. Doing a little run she began to do several back flips until she was close enough, turning around she bowed deeply and sprung back up. "Ah hello hello, what would you all like to hear first? A few jokes? Or perhaps would you like to hear some music? How about a tale so scary even the King would cower?" Lillica asked all the while grinning and rocking on her feet forward and back, it took all of her will power not to focus on the Prince. She did though thank that the Princess from the other kingdom was there, yet still she couldn't help but feel inadequate in her presence.
