Bowing his head as he began to blush Zane tried to ignore the fact she had been holding his hand a second before, "are your parents very curious people when it comes to school matters?" Not that he knew what a lot of parents were like, Zane just thought if a strange kid was suppose to be an exchange student they would want to confirm with the school.

Alice gave a semi nervous laugh. She hadn't thought about that before. What if they asked to see a note from school, or wanted to talk to the principal. But now that she thought about it, it didn't seem all that likely to happen. "My father is really quiet about my affairs, unless I'm joining some club, or a team at school. My mother, well, let's just say she's more interested in my personal life than anything related to school. Usually they just believe me when I say anything about school." She thought a little harder. "In fact, I could probably tell them the school burned down, and they wouldn't particularly care."

"Sounds like you got a great set of parents," Zane sarcastically said as he pulled his bag up higher on his shoulder. This was a new change for him and it scared him crazy, he just didn't know what the out come of this would be. It could go fine and he would have a mini vacation, or it could go horribly wrong and he could end up in jail. Either way he probably end up in jail.

Alice gave a lopsided grin at his sarcastic comment about her parents. "It's good for when you need to lie your way through something, but..." she truly didn't like talking about her parents to other people, "they tend to make up for it by expecting a lot from me." To much, in her own opinion. It was her parents who forced her to be perfect, and doing so, created the illusion that society saw. The more perfect she was, the more her parents expected, and the more society saw the illusion grow.

Zane could her the slight sadness in her voice, which made him rethink his view of her. That didn't stop him from not fully sympathizing with her, "have you ever acted like a real teen and told your parents to frig off and stay out of your life? I mean that seems to be all the rage especially with the girls your age these days."

Alice stopped for a moment and turned to look at Zane. "What exactly do you know about girls my age?" She hoped he had a good answer, or at least an amusing one. "Besides, not all girls my age back talk their parents." It was true, mostly. She knew of only a few girls in her grade that actually listened to what their parents said. It seemed that Zane had a little insight into that area of a teenage girls life.

"That you're right not many of you back talk your parents, but those who don't nine times out of ten are very unhappy. As for me knowing about girls your age I have a friend well more of an acquaintance and he has three daughters, all of whom are very different in personality." Pausing to gather his thoughts Zane had to chuckle as he thought about the girls, "the oldest she's a very work oriented so all she does is study and get great grades, the two younger ones have to work hard just so they could be close to the older one. Unfortunately that put a strain on them since their parents especially their mother expected high standards of them, while the middle one got there the younger one had a lot of trouble. Causing her to spiral and become depressed and then she began to keep to herself, until she began to come visit me."
Pausing again this time Zane slightly slated due to the fact, that when people come to his side of town they usually come to escape their life. It was an irksome idea he thought because here he was trying to escape from his own life, that he thought he had accepted a while back but with him going to the rich side proved that he hadn't accepted it. "You know never mind I actually don't know anything about girls your age," he said before withdrawing into his mind mulling over his thoughts.

Alice gave Zane a curious look, before shrugging her shoulders. She was insanely aware that he'd just opened up to her, and then shut the door in her face. "Right, well..." she looked down at her watch, and noted that the train would be there soon, "come one. Train's going to be coming soon, and I'd like to be on it." She was about to take his hand again, but quickly decided against it. She didn't want to embarrass herself again, let alone Zane.
(I'm sorry it's so short, and late. I've been having issues coming up with posts.)

Nodding halfheartedly Zane pulled up his bag higher and followed her, the more that the plan was coming together the more Zane was eager to see how Alice lived. It couldn't be as bad as she said it was, because really if you have rich parents then you can have what ever you like right?

Only a few short minutes after getting on the platform, the train came to a complete stop and left off some of its passengers. Alice pushed Zane into the car in front of them, and then boarded herself. As they settled onto the train, several of the cars passengers stared at the both of them. Alice gave a nervous smile to the others on on board, and then promptly took a seat far away from most of the cluster.
