Sitting down next to her Zane stared out the window, and watched the best he could at the changing buildings. The farther away he got from home it seemed to grow lighter out, it was probably just his imagination but still it seemed like a weird transition. "Thanks," was all Zane could muster to Alice without looking at her.

She'd been looking out her own window, and had only just managed to hear the thanks coming from Zane. Turning to look at him, she raised one of her eyebrows. "Thanks? For what?" She had to admit, since she'd fought him the night before, Zane had become different. There was something she didn't know about, and she wanted to find out.

"Ah it's nothing." He quickly answered as he continued to stared out the window, getting dizzy he turned back to stare at the inside of the train. He noticed that there were a lot more business types on the train instead of the occasional bum, looking for a warm place to sleep. Things were getting to be really different for him, that he had to adjust to and one would be him reigning in his temper.

She stared at him a moment longer, watching the way he gazed back out the window, and then turning his attention to the people on the train. "You're weird, Zane." With the ghost of a smile tugging at her lips, she turned away. Before he got the impression she didn't like him, she added quietly, "I like it." The train ride lasted much longer than one would have expected, but they were headed to the other side of the city.

Blushing lightly Zane kept his eyes trained on everyone on the train, none of them seemed to look like they had no care in the world. Which they probably didn't meanwhile for him he had to always worry if he was going to eat or not, yet there he was sitting beside some girl he knew nothing about. Probably to everyone else he looked like he had no care in the world, but he did wonder how it would feel to really have a life like that.

Finally, the train stopped two stops before the end of its run. Standing, Alice looked down at Zane. "Come on, this is our stop. We've just got to take the bus now, and we're almost there." She pushed her way through the crowd of people, all the way to the doors.

Zane was quite surprised to see how far Alice lived, "why do you travel so far just for a few hours? This is crazy far especially since you have to take the bus and train." He said stared at her back, he tried to stay as close to Alice as he could because he wasn't wanting to get lost.

"Huh?" Alice hadn't been paying full attention to the question. As the doors open, fresh air wafted into the train, making it a little easier to breath. As she stepped of the train, she made sure to grab on to Zane's arm, keeping him close so he wouldn't get lost. "Oh, it's my escape. Wouldn't you do anything, go anywhere just for an escape?"

"Yeah I would, why do you think I'm going a long with this crazy plan? Though I'm warning you my ass isn't going to jail for anything," he said giving her a heads up because that would be all he needed. She did have a point though, there was many times he just wanted an out but never fully looked for one.

Alice rolled her eyes. "You won't. Have a little faith." She pulled him towards a set of stairs, and then down them towards the street. "You aren't having second thoughts are you?"
